Description

The Shun Sora Hollow Edge Santoku Knife easily handles all the basic kitchen cutting tasks such as slicing, dicing, and chopping of vegetables, poultry, and fish. The hollow edge blade helps reduce friction so the blade glides through the food more easily. Sora uses Shun’s proprietary composite blade technology bringing together a VG10 san mai cutting edge with a Japanese 420J stainless steel blade. The two blade sections are laser cut and fit together like pieces of a puzzle, and the braze welding permanently joins them together. The wavy pattern at the joint is based on traditional Japanese sword hamon lines. The textured PP/TPE polymer blend handle material provides a contemporary look, secure grip, while easy to maintain. The debossed stainless steel logo enhances and balances the handle. Handcrafted in Seki City, Japan, 10-year warranty.
